Reminders
My reminders don't ring
On Android, check these in your phone's Settings:
- Notifications for Presora are on, including "Medicine reminders".
- Alarms & reminders permission is allowed for Presora.
- Battery: set Presora to "Unrestricted" or turn off battery optimisation for it. Some phones (Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Samsung and others) also have an "auto-start" or "sleeping apps" list; make sure Presora isn't on it.
Reminders come at the wrong time
Presora follows your phone's timezone. Check the time and timezone in your phone's settings are correct. You can change the time for each part of the day in Profile → Reminder times.
Why can't I mark a future dose as taken?
To keep your history accurate, a dose can be marked from two hours before its time. Earlier than that, the app shows when it can be marked.
Scanning prescriptions
Tips for a good scan
- Lay the prescription flat in good light, without shadows.
- Fill the frame with the page and hold the phone steady.
- For several pages, add each one before tapping "Read prescription".
"We couldn't read this"
Try again with a clearer photo, or enter the medicines yourself. Handwritten prescriptions usually need AI reading. If you chose "Only read on Presora's server", you can turn AI reading on in Profile → Privacy.
What happens with AI reading?
Presora reads each photo on its own server first. If you allow AI reading, photos it can't read are sent to DeepSeek, an AI service in China. You can change this any time in Profile → Privacy. See the Privacy Policy for details.
The scan got something wrong
Always check each medicine against the prescription on the confirm screen and correct anything before confirming. You can also edit a medicine later from the prescription's page.
Caregivers
How do caregiver alerts work?
Invite a caregiver from the Caregiving tab. Once they accept in their own Presora app, they're alerted if one of your doses isn't marked within the time you set in Profile ("Tell my caregiver after"). The alert can ring even when their phone is on silent.
My caregiver didn't get an alert
- The caregiver must have accepted the invitation and be signed in to Presora on their phone, with notifications allowed.
- Check "Missed dose alerts" is on in your Profile.
- If you marked the dose taken while offline, your phone may not have synced yet.
Account and privacy
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and we'll email you a 6-digit code.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Delete account. Or request deletion on this website.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email info@presora.health from your account's email address and we'll send you a copy within 30 days.
